These terms govern your use of the Prompt Engineering Institute website, learning materials, assessments, credentials, and related digital services. The service is provided by Prompt Engineering LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“PEI”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Our service
PEI provides digital education, research, programmes, assessments, and related resources about prompt engineering and artificial intelligence. We may update, improve, pause, or retire parts of the service as it develops. Some services are available only to signed-in members or learners with the required access.
Your account and access
Keep your account information accurate and your sign-in link or credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity through your account. Access is personal to you unless PEI has agreed otherwise in writing for an organisation. Do not share, resell, reproduce, or provide others access to paid or member-only materials.
Permitted use and intellectual property
PEI grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use materials made available to you for your own learning or internal professional development. PEI and its licensors retain all intellectual-property rights in the service and materials. You may not copy, redistribute, scrape, reverse engineer, or use the materials to build a competing product or training service without written permission.
Acceptable use
You may not use the service unlawfully, interfere with its security or availability, submit harmful code, impersonate another person, infringe another person’s rights, or use PEI materials to facilitate harm. We may suspend or end access when reasonably necessary to protect people, the service, or our rights.
AI and educational disclaimer
PEI materials are educational and informational. They are not legal, financial, medical, employment, security, or other professional advice. AI systems can produce inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or unsuitable output. You remain responsible for reviewing outputs, protecting confidential information, and deciding whether use is appropriate in your context.
Certificates and assessments
A PEI credential is an institute award based on the stated requirements at the time it is issued. It is not a professional licence, regulated accreditation, or guarantee of employment, promotion, business results, or admission to another programme. Credential use, verification, review, and revocation are governed by our Certification policy.
Payments and refunds
Prices and access terms will be shown before purchase. Digital-product sales are final and are governed by our Refund policy, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Where a payment provider processes a transaction, its checkout terms may also apply.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. PEI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, PEI’s total liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid PEI for the relevant service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Wyoming will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to bring a claim elsewhere. We may update these terms by posting a revised version here. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
