Your information

Privacy notice

Last updated: July 17, 2026

Prompt Engineering LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company operating as the Prompt Engineering Institute (“PEI”, “we”, “us”), respects your privacy. This notice explains how we handle personal information when you visit our site, join our learning programmes, request information, or communicate with us.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly, including your name, email address, account details, contact enquiries, newsletter or waitlist preferences, and information you submit in a course, assessment, or readiness assessment. We also collect limited technical information needed to operate and protect the site, such as session information, IP address, browser and device information, and security logs.

How we use it

  • Provide accounts, learning access, assessments, certificates, and support.
  • Respond to enquiries and send information you ask to receive.
  • Operate, secure, improve, and troubleshoot our services.
  • Maintain records needed to verify an issued credential or prevent misuse.
  • Meet legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and compliance obligations.

Service providers and payments

We use specialist providers to run the service, including Cloudflare for site delivery and security, Convex for application data, and Mailgun for email. If paid checkout is enabled, Paddle will process payment information as the merchant of record. We do not receive or store full payment-card numbers. Providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us and meet their own legal obligations.

Sharing and public credentials

We do not sell personal information. We may share it with service providers, professional advisers, authorities where legally required, or in connection with a business transfer. If you receive a verifiable PEI credential, a public verification page may show the credential code, credential title, holder name where available, and issue date. We will not publish assessment submissions or account details on that page.

Retention and security

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, including maintaining your account, delivering learning records, verifying a credential, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and rights

You may unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in the message. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

Children

PEI is not directed to children under 16. Do not provide personal information for a child under 16 without appropriate authority.

Changes and contact

We may update this notice as the service develops. The current version will always appear here. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@promptengineering.org or write to Prompt Engineering LLC, 1309 Coffeen Avenue STE 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801, United States.
